FAQ
Q. I want to book a session. What do I do next?
A. A good thing to do is decide what style of photos you’re looking for. Best thing to do is give us a wee call. We love talking about photography! After you decide what type of photos you would like, we’ll book a date. The deposit is due upon booking.
Q. What happens at a studio session?
A. Sessions aren’t booked back to back so we’re not having to fly through your session to get to the next job. There is up to an hour set aside for your session and we just casually take things as they come which is especially important when kids are involved. We have white or black backdrop’s available. We find that by coming to your home or somewhere that you like, it makes a more relaxed picture. Kids are in surrounding’s they are comforatable in and not put off by a strange white room. Also, you will have “props” close at hand with their favourite toy and as many changes of clothes as you need.
Q. What happens with an on location session?
A. Locations are planned for the seasons and the time of day. We meet at the location and photograph for about an hour. Crazy poses and fake smiles (all kids have a cheese smile!) are out and having a laugh and enjoying the time is in. Again, a relaxed shot is the goal and going with the flow and whatever is available on location.
Q. What options are there for newborns?
A. Newborns can be a tricky thing. Ideally, we would come to you, were you can keep things toasty for the little one and we have a nice relaxed session. We know that newborns are in charge and these sessions can take as long as they take when you count in feedings, changing and general soothing time to get them nice and sleepy.
Q. What happens after our session? When do we get to see our photographs?
A. At the end of your session, we’ll book your viewing. A member of the Earnock Images team (usually Stuart) will come to your home and show you your photos on a laptop. Or if you prefer we will post your images onto the website on a password protected link and you can view them that way.
Q. How much work goes into producing my images?
A. Just one of the images we produce will represent many thousands of pounds worth of equipment, work spent shooting, editing and preparing the image and years of sleepless nights spent gaining the education needed to produce one such image. In addition, there are things involved like storing and backing up your images. The cost of printing and time spent colour correcting. This is a very detailed job and every pixel of the picture is poured over with endless love and care.
